Zero covers all (34th title challenge)

a poem by Michelle Klemm, Germany - poetry writer, author, poet

From the very first day on
a big zero goes always along
for the rest of your life
whether you're single, husband, wife

This zero is celebrated
though some people hate it
on every big birthday
and so many more jubilee

But you also meet it in daily grind
each sort of scale is aligned
it was the beginning of Christianity
without the zero – no century

So if someone calls you a zero
don't drown yourself in sorrow
don't let yourself fall
cause zero covers all

The man in the arena
