wolf spider bonanza

a poem by Kevin Rottweiler, USA

I could not stand it
that thing looking at me
paranoid
hiding behind the wood
moulding of the house
big and bold
comes out at night
seeking hamburger meat
or any morsel with blood
wolf spider bonanza
a vampire of bugs
not sure I know
anything about spiders
but this one scares me
and I am from the farm
so that means something
looks at me
as if I am his meal
I don't like it
I should move out
and once I sprayed him
and he grew even bigger
the poison like a trigger
he is not allergic to it
and I cannot stand it
this one scares me
and I am from the farm
even Pit Bulls run from him
scared of his fangs
a vampire of bugs
