Elephant Bronchitis

a poem by Kevin Rottweiler, USA

Going to the store
for some menthol drops
my trunk is gonna drop
a sore throat
a tummy that bloats
elephant bronchitis
now the Basset Hound
made the trumpet sound
and the water came
down like Noah's Ark
an elephant with bronchitis
a lung elephantitis
no veterinarian around
and here comes that
trumpet sound
Heaven could open up
if the menthol is not here
but they paved the day
and saved the day
elephant bronchitis
and a doctor of elephant-osteopathy
with old bones
got the poor beast on the table
another fable
by Kevin Rottweiler

Elephant Planet
Changing Seasons of Rain
Big Big Elephants
