a poem by UKAONU DORIS OBIANUJU, Nigeria

If wishes were horses,
Though not blind,I will ride.
My world is filled with tides,
So young,yet I long..
A rebirth I crave,though wrong.

In vicissitudes,my niche is thonged.
Though my tears surpasses a sea,
I pray none doth swims.
Though my voice is bitter,
And my temple is withered,
A rebirth I still lust.
Even though a reverse I don't trust.

Make me whole my lord,
Create a new soul my God.

Most of you might not understand the driving force behind this poem, its a poem I wrote for a friend who had her world crumbling before her very own eyes, she narrated her ordeals 2 me,and I was touched to pen this.,am happy she loved it,FACT she termed it,am also happier that she's a bit eased right now..I Love you JOYCE,stay happy.
