a poem by peninnah ng'ang'a, Kenya

Dear diary,i woke up with bliss in his arms this morning.i remember the desire in his eyes kissing me good morning right before the call...

Every "hello" after this may be the last i get
That salute may be the only token behind
this goodbye may be the last time i feel his breath
i watch my man hit that door frame
tears on my cheeks ache in my heart
i behold that kiss on my lips
it just might be the last flavor i taste from his being!

"loving an army man is a calling."quote by my friend Mojado.
