Every time, time after time

a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

Every time, time after time,
I get to the same plight,
Not a word of appreciation,
Complaints and just complaints I find.

Is this the land of thanklessness,
Maybe it's a pit as I find,
Dragging me deeper and deeper
With every effort to climb.

I'm in neck deep mire,
My efforts none to admire,
Only fingers pointing at me,
Pointing at consequences dire.

Tired and yet not defeated,
Sinking and yet not sunk,
Praying to the Lord almighty,
From the morn to the dusk.

He Cares
God's love and spiritual poems
My Provider
CYNTHIA MANOHARAN
All my poems
He my soul relives
