a poem by Olomolehin John, Nigeria

Another stone thrown
Another dent on our hard-to-fix image
In diaspora
Another infliction thrust upon
The already disheartening yoke
With no substantial good news
From our various camps
To level up for a balance
Another ungrateful brother purloined a fortune
From his securer's investment safe
And fled
Putting us, the sufferers, in rejection
And sadness under a stricter surveillance.
