a poem by Phillip Joseph Hussey, UK

When the storm of life is stilled
And the shadows of rest abide
When the clouds of grief are filled
And the soul takes its final ride
When the journey of life is over
And the river of peace then flows
When the earth becomes a cover
And a cold winter wind blows
When the tears of sadness fall
And the light is ever dimmed
When life has borne its final call
And the weary eyes tears brimmed
When one lays down to rest
To await the last lauded shout
When life has faced its fullest test
And the leaves of autumn fall about
Then and forever more in time
Will I always remember you.
