Sorrow Of The World

a poem by Raghunandan Ram, India

Sorrow of the world
Getting no corridor
Frozen in the eyes
Grew saline
& vermilion
with anguish & rage.
Tears that dried
With sparks of beaten iron
Increasing heat of the sun
Are ready to melt the hammer
And to evaporate the harder
Make feel now no fear but fire
To burn chaos & crises
And to soothe one’s sorrow.
