Lily Alice Ainslie.

a poem by Mark Ainslie, UK

Lily Alice Ainslie, a blessing from God above.
Welcome to our world, surrounded by so much love.
Mummy and Daddy's prayers answered the day you came along,
So small and beautiful, each passing hour getting more strong.

Thirteenth of October two thousand and fifteen,
What a fantastic day that has been.
You came into this place somewhat unfazed
Leaving all of us totally amazed.

Weighing just one point one kilogram,
How pleased for your mummy and daddy I am.
Their lives have just changed in a special way,
You can be sure they'll love and cherish you every day.

Responsibility now heavy on their shoulder,
Unconditional love and respect, as you get older.
You are so very precious and wanted too,
There is already a place in our hearts for you.
