Maybe

a poem by Mobani Biswas, India - poetry writer, author, poet

We parted ways but the memories are still intact,
It will never be easy to forget what we had.
Cherishable was every moment and every moment is dear,
Maybe our hearts were destined to tear.

Neither was it your fault, nor was it mine,
Time and destiny weren't on our side.
Love was there in bountiful measures,
Maybe we were not meant to be together.

Life moved on and time passed by,
To forget everything was a futile try.
On lonely nights the memories come to haunt,
Maybe our journey was decreed to be short.

Some stories are meant to be incomplete,
The pleasure of remembrance will never deplete.
Can talk about you day and night.
Maybe our's was a journey meant to be finite.
