a poem by Mobani Biswas, India - poetry writer, author, poet

A girl I was alone and lonely,
Like a candle, burning ever so slowly.
The light illuminated the darkness,
Made others oblivious to sadness.
Mine was a heart locking great pains,
Sad memories, my mind had stained.
But I knew the art of smiling forever,
The pains locked in a vault, to open never.

The pains are better left undisturbed,
Forgetting the past can never be possible,
But walking on, looking ahead,
Is all one can do, and should do.
A girl I am, moving on and on,
Locking the pains and celebrating life.
