If the world seems cold to you, kindle fires to warm it ....... MusketeersChallenge #66

a poem by tobias kerins, UK

You have a chance to take a break
To see who gave and who’d just take
With open eyes you shook your head
The worst nightmare that you did dread

People are struggling and people are dying
Pushed to limits so death defying
Nowhere to sleep and nothing to eat
Like dirty rubbish left on the street

In zones of war they fight for their lives
Normally the lucky only survives
Oceans of blood and deserts of sand
No one to lend a helping hand

Gone is the favour and blown away is the care
Cold and icy a chilling stare
But every cloud has a silver lining
Sometimes life-changing so defining

Light the fire and let the beacon burn
For the troubles of others help and learn
Instil some warmth with kindling and coal
In their hour of need donate your soul

Gypsy in a Tent
The Maltese Falcon Vol VI
Me And My Candlestick
