a poem by Mobani Biswas, India - poetry writer, author, poet

I don’t know the feeling of love,
No violins ever rang for me,
But I loved to care for you
And that was all for me.

When we didn’t talk it wasn’t world’s end,
But hot tears welled up & I felt unwanted.
I laughed and shared memories with you,
Was it love? I won’t ever know.

I wasn’t made to experience love,
My heart was not for myself to give.
I loved to make you happy and jovial,
Even if it became taxing for me.

I don’t know the feeling of love,
Is it what one reads in fairytales?
I want to be there forever in your need,
Maybe only this is my fairytale.
