Power and Wisdom

a poem by Dhal Bahadur Jirel 'Ravi', Nepal

Power is but
an untrained horse
It can become blessing
only when employed
to protect the innocents
only when it is used
to fill bellies of hungers
only when it is used
to cover the nudity
of foresakens and poors
only when it is used
to heal brokens and weak.

True wisdom
but doescome from above
and wise are they
hose who knows this
wise are they
those listen to the spirit
and the ones
who speak from the depth
of the eternal understanding
and who fear and see
their mighty maker
and worships Him in truth,
holiness and obedience
who are bold in action
and brave to depart
from every evil standing high
on mighty fathers side
living every moment
for His good cause.

Power without wisdom
Is but a castle made of sand
on the beach
where high tides rise and fall.
