Footsteps In The Sand.

a poem by Mark Ainslie, UK

Two sets of footsteps, left in the sand,
Left by lovers, walking hand in hand.
Blissful contentment showing on their faces,
Careing feelings and loving embraces.

Tender touches, occasional flirts,
A love so strong it sometimes hurts.
Gentle breezes and sounds of the sea,
A precious time and place to be.

Occasional silence, no need to talk,
Enjoying the company and carefree walk.
With someone so special by their side,
Happy thoughts flourish, and demons hide.

Memories are built in the passage of time,
Cherished moments and feeling fine.
Dealing with what life for them has planned,
How long they last, footsteps in the sand.
