I am standing next to generation next

a poem by Reginold Ajay Jacob, India

I am standing next to,
Generation next,
My peers are all secure,
I am seeking for myself a nest.

People of my age,
Are nowhere on the stage,
They are all on the other side,
I now face the shame.

Am I so incompetent,
That I am left behind,
Is my destiny so hard
That I am left in parts.

No He has a better plan,
My thoughts will world relief,
Many more people in darkness,
Through me shall their peace receive.

The light of the world is my light,
He will use me in a hundred ways,
My words shall be their succour,
Who follow the narrow way.

Yes, dear friends when I look back at this poem I thank my God for all His mercies in my life. This poem was written way back in 2005. I had gone for an interview. A lady who knew me well asked if I had come as an interviewer. At that point, I was touched to pen down this poem.

So many tears I have dried
God's love and spiritual poems
At His footstool
My silence started speaking to me
Facts of life
Some things won't ever be known
I cried to the Lord in my anguish
All my poems
They are making a fun of my grief
