a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

Cut me loose
from your complete lack of proof
through the destruction
beauty crawling everywhere
comes the same sad song
found by natures first bear
tracing footsteps
to poor Goldilocks on the roof

what does it mean
stories of Jack and his bean
through his dreams
vine and tallest tree doth grow
with his axe
doth his poor thieving soul know
all eternity
moments made scared, sacred, lean

sound of giants
as they fall into Earths' raging sea
sound of children
knowing tale from bright poetry
love will come again
as honest as the falling rain
I see her smile
as she leaps from cloud to cloud
I hear her say
as beautiful days obscured do crowd
love will come again
as welcome as the falling rain..
