For Donna Kerins: My Sister From Oslo in Norway

a poem by tobias kerins, UK

Through evergreen forests, deep mountainous snow
Waterfalls falling, fast rivers that flow
Long winding roads, a deep inland fjord
You are you are you are
The one I adored

Your absence is galling, it fills me with pain
To know that I’ll never, see you again
The void is so massive, a deep empty space
Forever and ever and ever
In my memory a place

My lips they are trembling, my eyes are a mess
Heart it is broken, with love I confess
Hands they are shaking, my mouth is so dry
I try I try I try
Not to break down and cry

When news it did come, my soul it just went
That you my dear sister, to heaven were sent
Left us too soon, from this life you did leave
In you in you in you
I’ll always believe

World cloaked in sadness, an image so dark
Reality strikes, a feeling so stark
Sleep sweetly my love, and let all problems cease
My sister my sister my sister
Pray rest in peace

You Are To Me So Legendary
