a poem by Louise Marie Robello, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

Feathers are light but carry a lot of weight,
not only do they possess beauty, but are a
sign of something great. Feathers are symbolic of an
indian's way of life, it is a token of appreciation for doing things right.
To receive a feather is a sign of honor and respect, it is an accomplishment
that is to cherish and protect. Feathers represent freedom love trust and
holds together the strength in a family. Many feathers come from the birds
who rule the skies, flying spreading love in everybody;s lives.
