Dark Martyr

a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

Art
dark martyr
another heart
to the pain
blinding desert
its ghosts of rain
singing flowers
of its dreams
in the night
sweet mirage
the lasting light
a single stroke
of a red brush
across the bleak day
where clouds broke
umbrella
flexed in the wind
the feeling of sound
inner symphony
water
where it ran
down the street
Earth, as she speaks
as She walks
true of all of it
Heaven
and the Divine..
