Oh, to be a ray of sunshine

a poem by Nishu Mathur, India

To be a ray of sunshine -
Dawn a gown of gold
Rise to warm the world
For you are a part of Sol.
Spread light here and there
Create a halo and a glow
Melt a heart or maybe two
And perhaps a little snow.
Let the world look up and smile
Line those heavy clouds
With fingers dipped in sunshine
Dispel devious doubt.

To be a ray of sunshine
Tis good - no matter what -
And young or old
Forever you shall be
Very very hot!
