Before Long whistle (my take on Musketeer,s 82 Challenge)

a poem by Satheesan Rangorath, India - poetry writer, author, poet

I am in a game
Dribbling the basketball
Jumping and kneeling
Kneading
Passing, throwing
Fooling the opponent
Defending
My jersey wet with sweat
I am crafting my life
Puffing
Sighing, breathing heavily

Oh! if I get a little water
A bit of rest
No. life has to go on through
the basket of time

Finally finding your rhythm
Score the points in life
But it is too late
The time over
The captain gives you a high five
You retire
Yet the play will go on

The basket is small
It is a skill
How you basket your ball
Before the long whistle!
