THANK GOD, HE GIFTED ME YOU (83rd Musketeers challenge)

a poem by Mobani Biswas, India - poetry writer, author, poet

Like the sprinkling of rain on parched soil,
You came into my life bringing immense joy.
You got a smile on my face that never withdrew.
I thank God, he gifted me you.

Like the autumn wind blowing the dry leaves away,
As gust of wind you pushed my sorrows at bay.
I could get this lucky, I never knew.
I thank God, he gifted me you.

Like a beautiful rainbow that fills the sky,
My heart is a place you completely occupy.
The love we share is so pure and true.
I thank God, he gifted me you.

Like a full moon driving away darkness at night,
My worries disappear at your sight.
With you I get my happiness accrued.
I thank God, he gifted me you.

On days when we plan our future together,
hope sprouts in me, like fountain sprouting water.
You came and coloured my life in so many hues.
I thank God, he gifted me you.
