8 psychopaths..

a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

warm is day
blinding
sun high in our sky
seven psychopaths plays
an umpteenth time
hot are the nights
without sweet
word of a lie
loud is the story
butchered
easy true crime..

warm
is his heart
brave
fiction of language
maybe this world
a bit crazier than true
truth is alive
love alone
not its wage
gone with the breeze
escaped
all that it knew..

sound
as it reckons
all that pages
wild turn
night
where we melt
sweat
breathing lost ink
cradle cool oceans
swim
til lungs foul scream
silence where
noise falls
flags quietly..
they burn
parody in play
sound
any audience drinks
elephant and room
gasoline
flowers of dream..
