A simple poems of thanks ( The 88th Challenge)

a poem by Westly Alexander Shaw, USA

I'm writing this poem of thanks too say thank you for
your helping hands.
Each day I watched as you set a good example for
me too follow, as your heart grew larger and larger,
just like my garden.
You taught me to give, to make time for others, to love.
And lending a pair of hands for a hugs costs nothing, yet
means the most to many.
The most important lesson was help if you can, for
one day as you toss the coin of life, it maybe you who
needs someone to lend your a pair of helping hands.
So this poem is written just for you, to say thank you
for lending me a helping hand when I needed it the most.
