Intertwine

a poem by Paula Michelle Puddephatt, UK

Fact and fiction intertwine,
forming my
unreal
reality.
Necessarily reside,
here on sanity's borderline.
Fast forward.
Rewind.
Lose all track of actual time.
Don't sleep at all.
Then, the opposite extreme.
What did anything
I've been through
really mean?
As long as fact and fiction intertwine,
I'll stay
as safe
as I can be
in
unreal reality.
