Lady

a poem by Tracy Marie Windisch-Mason, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

In the wistful sands
my hands drift
as
I am gonna be your lady today
I am going to be your lady tonight
all the way
Tonight
Im gonna drown
Within the draft I wear my gown
White strands
colour my hair before my time
In the wistful sands
my hands drift
bridal gowns come undone
before my very eyes
as
I am gonna be your lady today
I am going to be your lady tonight
entwined
For life
Im gonna drown
within all of my yesterdays
and old ways

I believe love should be a free choice
