a poem by Lee Emmett, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

don't let it go
this precious thing
that keeps me here
and makes me sing
don't let it fade
this wondrous feeling
that sends my pulse
up, past the ceiling
don't wonder where
or how or why
and then just sigh
this fiery storm
and gentle bliss
both emanate
from our sweet kiss
and freedom from
all fears and harms
is cradled in
your gentle arms
great blessings
simple, yet profound
are cherished, dearly
when love's found
