The dusky soul

a poem by Tracy Marie Windisch-Mason, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

The dusky den
Within the sun
The sky exhales
Relentless within the silence
as I sit here
Contemplating you
And all of which
You do
Mercy! mercy I cry out
without sound
In shadow of doubt
you interrogate a soul
so dim and darkly it takes
Its very own toll
