a poem by Roche Igot Rosos, Philippines

don't force your loved one to take the high,
don't push them to commit suicide,
don't force them to do the things you want,
they have their own life to chose, let them have that smile,

the more we interfere with their style,
the more they will set us aside,
the more we nag at them,
the bigger the problem and pain,

You may know life better than they do,
you can guide them and assist them too,
but you have no right to decide which way they should go,
for God made a path for them to live and enjoy too,

Sometimes we need to lower down our ego,
give our best understanding and support them whatever they want to do,
There's nothing wrong of insisting our way,
just give them the freedom they needed to grow in a different way.
