blue eyes

a poem by Missy sue walter, USA

the light from your eyes I swim
nothing more but rain drops
smothered in the brightness of your face
blurred with bright blue strands
next to the ability to hold me in
always smiling back at me
in a trans for your heart
truly as you sweep me off my feet
from waves of emotions in the air
reminding me of when we first meet
in every way that makes my day easy
to forget the urge to die as I will
but under your protection
I carry on for the sight of love
never blinded from what is good of us
together we stand strong and happy
keeping the circle going at will
never to loose the sight in your eyes.
