DISQUIETED

a poem by Mikayla Jade Watts, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

Chest so tight I can barely breath.
Calm your heart count one, two, three.
Panicking, "oh my God did they forget about me?"
I got to get there to get my chance to go free.
Iv'e got to make them understand and see that the person
from yesterday wasn't the real me.
so many mistakes i've made yes,
but i wont let that debilitate me.
I have moved on and learned from reciprocity.
My life is no longer lost, but found by divinity.
It wasn't by chance my path brought me this way.
No, it was a much larger plan,
Not so obvious for my eyes to see.
So please remember it's not a number that defines who I am
when you look at me.
