sobriety..

a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

Notoriety
the illusion of sobriety
days as they leak
week and weakened
pure
disaffectionate
thrown in the deep end
of every ocean sung

motion
to our souls
fingers
as they shrine
making rhyme
where there's none..

Sensation
the art of investigation
sounds where they wear
bare
the repetition of silence
night
should it dance
should it wade

abrade
our hearts of wall
call
to the disinclined
making minds
of her foam..

500 poems..
numbers in a phone
sound
and all hell alone
has made peace
grease
to the wheels
can you feel

steal
back all you knew
true
of human and destiny
this light called poetry
recreating the dark..
