At Christmas

a poem by Nkwelle Assurance Nkwelle, Cameroon

My little ones a song to sing
My little ones a carol to flute.

Strange joy, a feeling pounds,
For glorious saviour's day.
Families hope to together be
For season brings love to whoever cares.

Christ the King bought peace for the world,
And chides not man to sin.
All to him the power grows,
When praise and worship does enthrone.

Joy for he's the Lamb of peace,
The ram that paid the price for me.

Call to him for love to find,
And sing to him for grace to grant.

Wake your neighbour for love of Christ
To sing your holy chants of praise,
And glory be forever more,
And glory be forever more.
