95th Challenege: The Christmas Craze #3

a poem by Chad Martinez, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

Through the Roads of Downtown Displays
We cruise slowly as lights twinkle, in a decked-out Promanade.
Strings of lights across the Streets, climbing up the Trees.
Dad stopped the car for a stop light,
causing quite a commotion, we yelled to him in excitment,
"Look at These!"
The chaser lights ran by, then came back again and I imagined it would be Santa's perfect Signal to land.

He was still days away,
The 20th was a Thursday,...
Too many things we still had to do,
Still waiting on Christmas Shopping
For there was no better incentive
Than to settle on presents for your brothers and others because you had run out of time...
The choices must be made!
For the Christmas Craze of Last-minute-Shopping
Can be such a joyous holiday Fray!
Sometimes remebered as "The Christmas Madness"

CCM
P.S.
Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope you and your Famlies have your best day of the year! Hopefully no stresses... only fun! Take care :)
