This New Year's Eve... 2018

a poem by Myrna Martin, USA

This New Year's Eve...
I am stuck at work...
Mandated till Ten...
I wish I was not here...
but instead, I am...
I think of Martin, asked him to have a toast for me...
I think of Mitchel, and ask the same, you see...
I think of Micky, and of all the fun with her friends...
and I think of my Parent's at home, asleep in their bed...
I try not to be blue, but I miss my family you see..
I will try to be happy, no more 2018 for me...
As I leave work, I will text all...
"Happy New Years from my heart!" "I hope you have a ball."
2019 is a fresh start...New years day will be here...
Another 16 I will work, and think of the one's I hold dear...

December 31st, 2018 @ Myrna Martin

A bit blue, missing my family on this celebration night...
much love to all!!!!!

and I DO WISH ALL OF YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

My thoughts.....again....
This much I know is true.....
