Musketeer Challenge #96. Every heart sings a song incomplete, until

a poem by Denis Barter, Canada - poetry writer, author, poet

Second by second, with an orderly beat,
rhythmically pulsating, in manner discreet:
recording Life lived, (as yet) incomplete,
every heart sings a song, of a moment fleet!

At morning’s fresh dawning, as we greet the day,
our heart awakens, to rejoice - in its singular way,
with a song, that captures what comes our way.
A song incomplete, until our last earthly day!

Our heart’s anthem for celebrating life’s gifts,
is a choral song that constantly swings and shifts
the livelong day, proving the elixir that lifts
flagging spirits from deep despair, and shifts

dire thoughts to enjoy our allotted time to live!
A song incomplete perhaps, but when we give
free rein to our emotions, it allows us to forgive
all clamourous discord. As we recall and relive

a moment enjoyed and recalled of an earlier day,
so our heart sings a song. Incomplete it may
be, but it’s a melody well known, that paves the way
to a symphony of celebration. on a later day!
