a poem by Zuvilla Ramirez, USA

Wishing I were a painter
To capture in canvas
The ethereal beauty of snowflakes
As it glistens on the benches
Of naked trees, and
On the rooftops of pristine white houses

As it shapes ice cream cones
On the crown of dwarf pine trees
As the evergreen bushes
Turns fluffy white
Like mouth-watering cotton candy

Cool and refreshing sight indeed
To one's weary , troubled spirit
Evoking solitude, heavenly peace
Fervently hoping it won't vanish
But be forever engraved
In one's heart and spirit.

But alas, the treacherous wind
Threatens to obliterate
This picturesque ethereal vision
Blowing away the fragile
Snow of my dreams!!!
