a poem by Naveed Khalid, Pakistan

When I am at a loss for words,
I look at a shooting star,
how by night befalls the sky;
and a thought comes into my mind
of cupid's stretch'd, heavenly bow:
a drown'd boat in the ocean
is brought to the sands of the sea-shore,
that our Lord has call'd for a mirror.
