a poem by Michael Flores Caasi, Philippines - poetry writer, author, poet

Sweeny sweats sweets swiftly,
Sleeping soundly on a shaded swing,
Silence speaks to singing souls of Summer birds,
And sway Sweeny to sleep ‘til Spring.

“Shhhh”, said the Sunshine to the shouting swans.
And swoosh to the swirling snakes, sluding smoothly to Sweenybun.

Thanks to the Sunshine, snakes and swans.
A long, long sleep awaits our Sweenybun!
