a poem by Melyssa G. Sprott, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

A Trojan horse to breach my gate
The silver scissors that seal my fate
When is forever—I just can’t wait

Though my chances would be slim
Across the river Styx I’d swim
To see your face once again

Fearless hero—brave and bold
Bring your apple, shining gold
I belong to you—it’s been foretold

I will command the tide for thee
You sail a thousand ships for me
Love like this was meant to be

A Trojan horse that liberates
A binding thread—seal my fate
When is forever—I just can’t wait
