a poem by Melyssa G. Sprott, USA - poetry writer, author, poet

All the walls have turned to glass
And there you stand with stones to cast
I stare blank with eyes downcast
Countless fears are holding fast
Waiting for this moment to pass

But it doesn’t

Time is ticking, slipping by
Tears are creeping as I cry
Waiting for your stones to fly
You’re heartless but I can’t tell why
I love you still, yet, without reply
