The embarrassment

a poem by Krzeslawa T. Skrzypczynska, Poland - poetry writer, author, poet

I feel embarrassment
when someone, completely straight
is slandering someone
being almost next to him
not hiding with it at all
forming the halo of confidentiality
she’s raising improper but courageous the importance
of certain professions above others,
and in an authoritative way is prioritizing them
I feel embarrassment
when the same character
is abusing my patience
is patronize me, chatting me up,
is getting angry
and when she was asked about something,
and, finally, ignored,
is screaming to listen to her
though the answer
she has already given.
