CONUNDRUM

a poem by Krzeslawa T. Skrzypczynska, Poland - poetry writer, author, poet

The oldest say that over this lake
something scares from time to time.
A lady appears on her bike
and then she disappears among the thicket.
Is the surface so strong for everyone?
Each is afraid to check it out.
Lady appears so as disappears.
Oh, she soon drives away into the grove.
It is a conundrum of that land.
Is the lady the spirit of the lake?
Very similar is to my neighbor,
A hidden smile - a barrage.
