Painted with streams

a poem by Krzeslawa T. Skrzypczynska, Poland - poetry writer, author, poet

The heat somewhat abated,
came abundant, but short-lived
a touching rain.
Plants, woke up by thirst of drops,
were becoming greener from happiness,
and me, as some sort of their relative,
started to enjoy myself giving a helping hand to raindrops,
hands, arms and hair,
those painted with streams more abundantly,
were welcoming them in guest and cheerful.
Umbrella on the balcony
he fell into shower of water, delighted,
and cars...
cars took a decent bath.
Now they expect the next visit
of a generous sun,
in the scent of brewed coffee.
