The fish shop

a poem by Charles Fisher, UK

Bored stiff
The chippy staff

Look out at the world
The world of the pavement

Where people walk,
Walk pass the chippy

No one comes into
To order the take aways

That are on display for all to see

Three workers:
One at the till
One at the centre
One on far left side

Even the fish on display are fed up
