voices in the glass

a poem by Dale Costello, Australia - poetry writer, author, poet

in the poetry
and noteriety
in the spill of true ego

sold science and fact
the endless dialogue'
night and demigod
the breath at the window
on the glass..

somewhere they sing
'gimme shelter'
somewhere he sings
'gimme shelter'
the feeling creeps upon you
the only shelter you've known

and existence alone
universe beyond our world
Earth inside
and a pale moon hides
in the glass..

poetry and humanity
sound eking free
of sign and science
stranger.. companion
of her silence
sound.. perfect quiet

mysterious harmony
song at the poetry
wound and honest sea
night where you can't hide it
stars disappearing
glass and lost of hearing
in the words..
