It's Not Just Rainbows And Butterflies.

a poem by Mark Ainslie, UK

It's Not Just Rainbows And Butterflies.

It's not just rainbows and Butterflies,
A heart of stone sometimes cries.
It's not just laughter and painted smile,
Can be testing once in a while.

It's not just glitter and fairground ride,
Worries can multiply deep inside.
It's not just sunshine and pleasant time
playing tricks and games with your mind.

It's not just freedom and tranquil days,
Sometimes empty and distant gaze.
It's not just manners and mutual respect,
Peace of mind occasionally wrecked.

It's not just about peace and days being good,
Maybe change things if only you could.
It's not just summer through to fall,
Always staying strong and standing tall.
