a poem by Mobani Biswas, India - poetry writer, author, poet

What if the sun never set?
Would we be ignorant of how darkness felt?

What if earth was a replica of eden?
Would we want to reach heaven?

What if the moon never had an existence?
Would the poets find something more elegant?

What if the trees never shed their leaves?
Would we miss the autumn's feel?

What if people could read each other's mind?
Would there be any treacherous being alive?

What if people believed there was nothing above humanism?
Would it be more peaceful sans religion?

What if men were immortal?
Would they become fearless to any outcome?

What if people lacked in faith and belief?
Would there be so much we could achieve?

What if there were no ifs in life?
Would life be more sublime?
